Three Dog Ranch is a prominent boarding kennel in Whitefish, Montana. Leslie, while working for her former employer, Bruce Boody Landscape Architects, designed the new entryway with an accessible ramp and plantings, as well as creating a master plan with revised circulation, dog yards and areas for future development.
One of the challenges in kennel designs is circulation, for dogs and people, and as this kennel expanded from one building to two and four different yards, circulation grew in complexity.
An accessible ramp was designed for the entry, eliminating stairs, and making dog food deliveries and walking dogs to the check-in easier.
Long season perennials and shrubs were added to give year round color and new walkways were designed to help the flow of movement.
