I have worked with Landscape Architect, Leslie Lowe, for nearly 20 years on both commercial and residential projects. Her plans are detailed and provide accurate coordination between all parties necessary for a successful project, from the engineering consultants to the landscape installers. Leslie and her team have transformed my yard from a boring, unwelcoming patch of grass and perimeter shrubbery into a lush secret garden. I have spent more time in my yard since the upgrade than in all the years before — with plantings that come into bloom throughout the summer, and a broad range of colors and textures wherever my eye rests.

The best part is that the space is exactly what I wanted, even if I could never have described it myself. Leslie took great care to understand how I wanted to use the space, and made sure there are seating areas, lighting, a water feature, and screening plants just where they work best for me. She discussed each idea with me and adapted it to any requests I made — I truly feel like she created my garden, not one picked out of a design book.

This is the second full summer since the work was completed, and it has really come to life as the plants mature and fill in the entire space. I could not be happier with how it turned out.

I met Leslie 15 years ago when my husband and I embarked on a land restoration and redevelopment project for a home and property located on a small lake outside of Bigfork. She is marvelous to work with, a genius with hardscape design, and has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of plants that do well in our area.

Delighted with the result, we engaged Leslie again in 2024 for another landscape design project for a custom built home “off the grid,” requiring a firesafe planting design, simplicity of maintenance, and a look consistent with and respectful of a wilderness environment. She drew on her deep understanding of native plants and her connections with local resources for additional creative and practical input to the process.
